Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, we are only scheduling urgent and emergency eye patients at this time.

The IEI will be managing patient follow-up appointments through a high-level, telephone screening process. Urgent care needs will follow a similar triage program.  Using these methods, put in place for the safety of our patients and providers, the IEI will continue to attend to our patients while doing our part to flatten the curve.

Patients needing to reach us during this time period should call the IEI at

312-225-6200 and make sure that they leave a call-back number and accept calls from blocked numbers to ensure that our providers can reach you. In accordance with new guidelines, phone calls may be billed to your insurance.

Myopia Control

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, affects 50% of people in the United States.

If you’re struggling to see clearly, the IEI can prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses.

Managing the progression of myopia may also help prevent cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal detachments.
