Diabetic Eye Center
Diabetic retinopathy, a condition that occurs in people who have diabetes, is the leading cause of vision loss among adults aged 20-74. If detected early, nearly all cases of vision loss from diabetic retinopathy can be prevented.

The Diabetic Eye Center at Illinois Eye Institute is in place to identify diabetic retinopathy and to treat the eye disease before the development of permanent vision loss. The Diabetic Eye Center provides eye exams, visual fields, OCTs, and specialized care for diabetic patients each and every day.
